Cool weather means that it’s time for Crock Pots and comfort foods, both of which make my favorites list. This week is pretty busy so the Crock Pot will be used a couple of times. We are even expecting snow next Saturday! I’m so ready for all of the fall comfort foods.
A lot of people are all about the chicken nuggets and tacos right now. Not me. Not one bit. Gravy and starches are where it’s at! Food is something that truly calls to me and you know I’m answering. With a few years of cooking under my belt now, these are the comfort recipes that really hit the spot on those cool autumn days.
They are all delicious, easy, and kid approved. Otherwise, I wouldn’t bother making them.
Slow Cooker Pork Chop Stroganoff from The Midnight Baker
This one is so delicious. Meat, gravy, and noodles is one of the ultimate comfort foods.
Slow Cooker Easy French Dip Sandwiches from Six Sisters’ Stuff
This is a staple in our house. It’s hands down one of the easiest recipes I have in my arsenal and we all LOVE these sandwiches.
Baked Paprika Parmesan Chicken from Sugar Apron
My neighbor found this recipe and I’ll never regret making it. DO NOT forget to top it with butter. It’s disgusting when you forget the butter.
Guinness Beef Pot Pie from Picture the Recipe
I usually skip the last step and just make this a stew. It has amazing flavor!
Crockpot Country Chicken from Jo and Sue
Guys, you need to make this. This recipe is what comfort food is all about. It takes me to my happy place.
As someone who lives to eat all things delicious, this post was particularly difficult to write. You know how they say you shouldn’t go to the grocery store hungry? Well, you shouldn’t write about food when you’re hungry either! I’m already excited for dinner next week.
I hope you enjoy these delicious recipes. If you do, please show these amazing women some love and share their recipes! Let me know which one is your favorite!
